OCWAP Enforcement Action Summary:
Siuslaw Automotive and Towing
OCWAP initiated an enforcement action against Siuslaw Automotive and Towing on behalf of Sierra Club in October of 2005 concerning Siuslaw Automotive and Towing’s failure to monitor stormwater discharges and its failure to report monitoring results to the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality. Siuslaw Automotive and Towing subsequently agreed to comply with its Clean Water Act permit in the future, paid $3,500 to Oregon Shores Conservation Coalition for use in its Coastwatch Program, and agreed to pay additional funds to Oregon Shores Conservation Coalition’s Coastwatch Program in the event of future noncompliance with its Clean Water Act permit.
