OCWAP Enforcement Action Summary:
Hyland Butte Mobile Home Park
OCWAP visited the Hyland Butte Mobile Home Park construction site twice in May of 2006, and the following violations of Oregon’s statewide general construction stormwater permit were observed on both occasions:
- deposits of sediment in areas that drain to unprotected stormwater inlets; and
- lack of protection of catch basin inlets.
OCWAP sent the George Family Trust (which is responsible for permit compliance at the site) a letter on May 27, 2006, giving the trust sixty days (as required by the Clean Water Act) to come into compliance with its permit and the Clean Water Act. If the trust fails to come in compliance during the sixty day compliance period, OCWAP may file a Clean Water Act lawsuit in federal court against the trust.
